چکیده
Dynamic hand gesture acting as a semaphoric is practical and intuitive mid-air interface. Nowadays benefiting from the development of deep convolutional networks, recognition has already achieved high accuracy, however, when performing dynamic such gestures direction commands, some unintentional actions are easily misrecognized due to similarity poses. This hinders application cannot be solved by just improving accuracy applied algorithm on public datasets, thus it necessary study problems perspective human-computer interaction. In this article, two methods proposed avoid misrecognition introducing activation delay using asymmetric design. First temporal process decomposed redefined, then realtime system built through two-dimensional neural network. order investigate influence design performance, user conducted experimental results show that can effectively misrecognition. The in article provide valuable guidance for researchers designing applications.

Recognition of dynamic hand gestures
This paper is concerned with the problem of recognition of dynamic hand gestures. We have considered gestures which are sequences of distinct hand poses. In these gestures hand poses can undergo motion and discrete changes. However, continuous deformations of the hand shapes are not permitted. We have developed a recognition engine which can reliably recognize these gestures despite individual ...
متن کاملRecognition of Dynamic Hand Gestures with Time-of-Flight Cameras
In this paper an algorithm to recognize single stroke gestures using a Time-of-Flight camera is presented. To achieve this goal, freehand gesture input is provided by articulating a single stroke in three-dimensional space using a stretched nger. The position of the ngertip is tracked and gesture input can be deactivated by forming a st. In this way, the start and end of a gesture is recognized...

Acknowledgements I am grateful to Prof. Dr. Christoph von der Malsburg for his guidance and support. He offered me the opportunity to start my research in the challenging field of computer vision and taught me to ask the question " How does the brain work? ". His passion on this topic inspired me and the present work. Further I would like to thank Prof. Dr. Andreas Wieck for his interest in bei...
متن کاملRealtime Segmentation and Recognition of Gestures using Hierarchical Markov Models
In this work, we present a realtime system for continuous gesture segmentation and recognition. The model is an extension of the system called Gesture Follower developed at Ircam, which is an hybrid model between Dynamic Time Warping and Hidden Markov Models. This previous model allows for a realtime temporal alignment between a template and an input gesture. Our model extends it by proposing a...
متن کاملEmotions affect the recognition of hand gestures
The body is closely tied to the processing of social and emotional information. The purpose of this study was to determine whether a relationship between emotions and social attitudes conveyed through gestures exists. Thus, we tested the effect of pro-social (i.e., happy face) and anti-social (i.e., angry face) emotional primes on the ability to detect socially relevant hand postures (i.e., pic...
